"Developing this interface is a major accomplishment, and enables our primary care physicians, specialists and Beaumont to deliver more coordinated, efficient medicine to our patient population," said Mike Williams, M.D., President and CEO of United Physicians, Inc. "Access to this health information will help us make better, more educated decisions at the point of care and assist us in reducing unnecessary or redundant test orders."

"This interface provides an important connection between the care delivered at Beaumont hospitals and facilities, and care delivered in the offices of UP members," said David Wood, M.D., president, Beaumont Physician Partners. "This electronic backbone facilitates high-value health care - defined as high quality care delivered efficiently and at lower cost."
