Due to scheduled maintenance, the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs' Registration and Attestation System will be unavailable this weekend. The maintenance window began June 29 at 12:00 a.m. ET and will extend through July 2 at 7:00 a.m. ET. According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), eligible professionals (EPs) and eligible hospitals will not be able to register or attest for the EHR Incentive Programs during the system downtime.
CMS, which administers the EHR Incentive Programs, noted that, because of the system maintenance, EHR Information Center staff will not be able to assist incoming calls relating to registration, attestation and payment status.
However, EPs and hospitals can access a recently enhanced interactive voice response (IVR) system, which provides registration, attestation and payment status along with other self-service options. Dial 1-888-734-6433 and follow the prompts for self-service to access the IVR.
The Registration and Attestation System and the EHR Information Center will resume regular operations on July 2 at 7:00 a.m. ET.
