See where you stand on the MU timeline

A new interactive resource from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) can help eligible professionals (EPs) determine their progress along the path to achieving meaningful use of certified EHR technology. The agency recently posted My EHR Participation Timeline on the EHR Incentive Programs website.

The online tool enables EPs to figure out the year in which they will meet Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 requirements in the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, according to a CMS advisory sent Feb. 21.

The resource also provides information on:

  • The length of time you are required to demonstrate meaningful use at each stage;
  • The maximum incentive payment you can receive each year;
  • The total incentive payment amount you will receive based on your initial year of participation; and,
  • Links to helpful resources from the CMS website.

After choosing between the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, select your first year of participation and the tool will create a personalized timeline with your results, according to CMS. This timeline can be printed and used as a reference for successful EHR Incentive Programs participation.
